 The national survey was carried out by the Nederlandse Stichting voor Statistiek. Interviewers were provided with an address chosen randomly. When this address resulted in an interview the same procedure was followed four addresses to the right. In case of refusal or when no one answered the door the first address to the right was taken as a replacement. Each start address had to result in eventually in three interviews.
