| By means of a Facebook-application potential participants were directed to the survey web-page, explaining the purpose of the research:" This is a new type of scientific survey that uses a Facebook app to link friendship data to questions on social relations, values, views, and personality". Participants recruited by invitations to email-lists of University of Helsinki and Aalto University. Incentives were a personal feedback after completing the questionnaire, and raffles for an iPad and a 500 euro Amazon gift card. | |
