Ss were asked to rate their satisfaction with 8 domains:
- health
- finances
- family
- friends
- recreation
- self
- education
Rated on 7 point Delighted-Terrible scale.  

Then after removing the best and worst rated domains, average satisfaction with the six middle domains was calculated.
