Operationalization
Is a WAIS (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale) subtest and comprises a list of 40 words in general order of difficulty. With each word orally presented the subject attemps a good definition. Scores are: 2 is good, 1 is poor, 0 is incorrect or failure. After 5 consecutive zero scores the test is terminated. The total score is converted to a scaled score.
